[Featured App Review] Supermarket Management 04/27/10

Apr 27, 2010 by

Thank you G5E for the promo code to this app!
Supermarket Management is a time management created by G5 Entertainment to wreak havoc on your social life and job [just kidding ;)] that is available for $2.99 (at the moment). But, in all seriousness, I had lost count of all the levels – literally. I started by opening the app and pressing play… 1, 2, 3… after 2 minutes, I had gotten to 15 (they were so crowded together; there were that many!) because I had lost count numerous times. I then picked up my iPod and I smashed it and called G5E and asked them to reimburse me [again, just kidding ;)].
The game is beyond addicting… it’s like doing [censored drug reference]. But… more healthy. In this uber time management game, you are hired by your boss to take control of a whole supermarket. One person controlling a whole supermarket. That level of frustration and confusion makes the game an epic hurricane of FUN. I did not put my iPod down. FOR A LONG TIME. I just kept passing through all the levels cussing whenever I screwed up (which was quite frequent).
I have had this app for a week now and I still have not completed it which is quite a bargain for the price of $2.99! As you pass through those uncountable levels (must’ve been lots of hard work for both you and G5E), the game gets tougher with food samples, cake machines, etc. and frankly, quite lazy staffers (cashier lady, I’m referring to YOU). Tougher gameplay means more AWESOMENESS =P.
Time to get FREAKY! The graphics were okay… not “Avatar” graphics but pretty good. User interface was a-ma-zing! Entertainment/gameplay: tough = fun. Creativity: Just like for Jane’s Hotel, it’s been done before.
Graphics: 3.5/5
UI: 4.5/5
Gameplay: 5/5
Creativity: 2.5/5
Our rating: 4.5 out of freakin’ 5.
Overall: 20/25 or 80%.
We definitely recommend this app.
