iOS 4.2.1 a Significant Update to the iOS Platform

Nov 23, 2010 by

The long awaited update of Apple’s famed iOS 4.2.1 is now out after multiple delay of its release due to major issues found last minute. iPhone and iPod users didn’t gain much updates like they did since the first release of iOS 4.0 but iPad users were the luckiest with this release. iPad users can now enjoy sorting their apps in folders, switch from app to app without losing their progress or work in the other apps. Aside from those features, on top of other improvements, Apple improved the performance of it’s built in internet browser, and mail app (a thing all iDevice users can enjoy). The question remains though: are those new features a reply to what Android is doing to compete with Apple’s iOS platform or is it the continuation of Apple’s superiority in the digital content and electronic market?
