AT&T Mocks Verizon with Cocky Emails

Feb 1, 2011 by

Throughout the duration of the switch from AT&T exclusivity to AT&T and Verizon, Apple has been playing the mediator, using this as an opportunity to further promote its products and boost sales. That doesn’t necessarily mean Verizon and AT&T are willing to play nice to each other when it comes to potential wireless customers.

According to iPhoneDownloadBlog, AT&T has been sending customers emails with the subject “Feel free to make a call while reading this email.”

That is in reference to limits on CDMA networks. CDMA networks such as Verizon will not let you use the Internet while in a call.

The email supposedly continues, “only AT&T’s network lets you talk and surf the web at the same time on your iPhone.”

Now that’s not saying much as the only two networks are AT&T and Verizon. (Taking into account that the Verizon iPhone is not out yet, AT&T is the only network in the United States.)

What might Verizon do to get back at AT&T?

How will this feud play out?

Will Apple do anything to stop a sissy fight?

Keep with How’s My App for continuous updates on this matter.
