Google Chrome client for Linux reaches stable release

Mar 17, 2011 by

After much deliberation, the lightweight open-source and buggy version of Chrome entitled “Chromium,” is to be replaced by the full program.

Already available on Mac and PC, this build of the program has been available to a small number of Linux users via the dev-channel for several weeks, and has now been made public. Get the full version of Chrome for Linux here: http://www.google.com/chrome

Also coming to all versions of Chrome is the brand new minimalist logo.

The new logo is likely to be rolled out with a set of new features and/or bug fixes in the next few weeks.
