A few tweets from iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd have not been very encouraging for the community, as they have indicated that pod2g‘s A4 exploit has been patched on the iPad 2.

For those who have missed out, Geohot’s Limera1n tethered bootrom exploit has been patched on these new devices and with SHAtter out of the picture, the only logical solution would be a userland exploit — which would be more difficult in iOS 4.3 as Apple included ASLR technology.

comex has stated over Twitter that he has found a kernel exploit, but unfortunately, has been patched in iOS 4.3.
