Apps Look Better On iOS Than On Android

Android Gripes has published an article comparing the UX/UI of iOS and Android apps from the same company. He found that the apps look very different on the two platforms, and that iOS apps look far better generally, and I’d have to agree with him. Here are a few of the apps he compared:

    Its only because the devs don’t give android much love </3

    • It’s because Android developers need to develop for the lowest common denominator. You can see this, especially with the facebook app… The app doesn’t take up the full screen, because some Android devices don’t have large screens and have very low resolution. So the dilemma is — either you develop a good looking app that a few Droid users can buy and install, or you create a not-so-good looking Droid app that more Droid users (with crap devices) can use. As you can see, the latter seems to be the strategy that most developers use…
