Apple Release iOS 4.3.3, Fixes Location Tracking “Bug”

May 4, 2011 by

Apple has just made iOS 4.3.3 and iOS 4.2.8 in an effort to address claims they were tracking every move you made. The new update’s changelog states that the software:

● Reduces the size of the cache
● No longer backs the cache up to iTunes
● Deletes the cache entirely when Location Services is turned off

You can download the software update from here

iPhone 4 (GSM)
iPhone 4 (CDMA)

Currently, you can jailbreak using redsn0w and pointing it to the 4.3.2 ipsw. However, the jailbreak is tethered.

According to Comex, i0n1c’s untether is still not patched in 4.3.3, so we will see an untethered jailbreak soon.
