iPhone 5 Casting

A casting call was posted on Craigslist today, looking for actors for a commercial for the much-anticipated iPhone 5.

Though now taken offline, MacRumors had taken a screenshot and published it online.

Male and female submissions from people of all ages and races were accepted and payment was supposedly £4500.

The authenticity of this is contested, and would almost be irrefutably fake if not for this New York ad from last month:

Commercial Casting Notice for Apple iPhone:
Location: NY
Employer: TIGER PRODUCTIONS
Duration: 1 DAY, starts MAY 4TH.
(Non-Union artist contracts)
Director: H. GOLAN
ROLE: family oriented happy, male and female
AGE: 18-50 – huge range
RATE: $3000 +10%

Though the iPhone 5 was not mentioned, the director was the same and much of both ads were similar.

Apple is one to film advertisements for products ahead of time; May 24, 2010 was when a FaceTime advertisement was being filmed.

If this is legit, it can be confirmed that the next iPhone will not be the iPhone 4S (horrible name, spawning from a horrible rumour).
