Release of Mac OS X 10.6.8 coming soon?
Apple has released a support document for Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5 and Compressor 4, all released yesterday, stating that upgrading to Mac OS X 10.6.8 is recommended.
Updating to Mac OS X v10.6.8 or later is strongly recommended when using Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, or Compressor 4.
This may suggest that the public version of Mac OS X 10.6.8 (previously available exclusively for developers) is coming soon.
This version of Mac OS X is the last before Mac OS X Lion comes out next month.
