Semitethered iOS 5 jailbreak available; semi-tether your phone!

We’re all one step closer to an untethered iOS 5 jailbreak today, as BigBoss has released SemiTether, allowing your device to boot with limited functionality.
Tethered jailbreaks are flawed, due to their being forced to connect to a PC to boot; so essentially, if your device crashes or your battery dies and you’re eating out, at work, or on the road, you’re essentially screwed.
SemiTether allows your tethered device to boot, but the Safari app, Mail app and all jailbreak tweaks will not work.
Your device’s phone and messages app will function perfectly, however, as will all your App Store apps and all your stock iOS 5 apps.
To install SemiTether, go into Cydia, tap on the Manage tab, tap Sources, and add http://thebigboss.org/semitether as one of the repositories.
An untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 is not available yet, but for now, SemiTether is the closest we’ve got.
